2006 marks the 250th
anniversary of Mozart’s birth and to honour it we present you with a new
production of perhaps his most famous and well-loved opera, The Marriage of Figaro
If you have never been to opera before then this production is a MUST.
Sung in English with sumptuous costumes and set, exhilarating music, and
a touching yet highly comic story line it’s the perfect way to get into opera.
And getting into opera is what this production is
about.
Our professional standard cast is gathered from the most
talented young musicians of both universities as well as the wider Cambridge
community, and our orchestra features outstanding young musicians from local schools.
Behind the scenes are school-age ‘apprentices’ working alongside our highly experienced
crew.
